Welcome to the world of advanced manual therapy! I hope you gather enough from this website to make an informed decision. Whether its a specific injury or general chronic pain and stress, I am confident that there is something here to aid you in your journey towards health!
I have committed twelve years to the practice of massage and bodywork. After experiencing the profound healing nature of the different touch modalities when I was younger, I decided to attend massage school after college in 2004, and I have been doing this work full time ever since.
I have advanced training in craniosacral therapy, sports massage and the Kinesio Taping® method of physiological taping, and three years ago became an instructor at Crystal Mountain Institute Massage Therapy School (CMI), the same school I once attended. Coming full circle as an instructor, I now teach anatomy, clinical reasoning, business, sports massage, and the Certified Kinesio Taping Practitioner (CKTP®) program. An avid user of Kinesio® Tape for eight years, I became a faculty member 3 years ago, and was proud to bring the certification program to CMI, which was the first massage school in the nation to include such a program in its curriculum.
Currently I am learning orthopedic assessment and muscle testing so that I can be more effective in my treatments. NeuroKinetic Therapy® and Whitney Lowe's Orthopedic Assessment for MTs are helping me expand my skills in this area.
If you need injury rehab, I can be part of your recovery team. I integrate Kinesio Tape as well as assessments in all my injury management treatments.
If you are an athlete of any level needing to maintain your peak performance, you would be amazed at the benefits of regular soft tissue work.
If you need stress management, massage and craniosacral can help you get to a more grounded mental and emotional place.
I look forward to working with you!
